They are the bold-print underlined words in various places throughout our text. We have deferred at points to other sites for in-depth or technical information. Sites were chosen for their content and/or user friendly (fun) features. Many are interesting enough to keep you browsing for quite a while! Some of my favorites are the government links, they are well constructed, have a lot of content and it makes me feel like I'm getting something back out of my tax bill!
Center for Disease Control (CDC) - Great site we are linked to several pages for info. on: deer ticks, rabies and mosquitoes but there is much more - so look around
Cornell Cooperative Extension initial link is to N.Y. State site worth a browse lots of agricultural info.- but also bits for the more "sub-" and "urban" visitor then click map on your county for your local extension

National Pest Management Association an industry association of Pest Mngmt. Firms the site has a variety of info. for both professionals and lay persons
Pest Control Magazine This is an industry targeted magazine (we subscribe to the hard copy) They feature a monthly "profile" of a pest pertinent to structural pest control
Public Citizen Magazine - a Consumer Advocacy Group This is a wonderful site for keeping up to date on current consumer issues, "action alerts" give you a chance to contact officials to let them know your opinion , product recalls etc. etc. etc.
Radon Testing Corp. of America a radon testing co. the site gives info about them and radon, radon testing and radon mitigation.
The Discovery Channel we were linked to a page about bats, that's no longer there - but browse around anyway, theres lots of fun stuff - just like the TV channel - learning and entertainment in one spot!
